Hannah Kraenbring
Modern Faculty
Hannah Kraenbring is a Pennsylvania Regional Ballet (PRB) alumna and a 2023 graduate of Goucher College with a bachelor's degree in Dance and a minor in Studio Art. In college, Hannah performed in works by Eric Rivera, Susan Hadley, Maurice Brandon Curry, Elizabeth Ahearn, and Mustapha Braimah. She choreographed four dance works at Goucher College and attended American College Dance Association conferences.
After graduation, Hannah was a Young Artist Intern at Bearnstow in Mt. Vernon, Maine. During her internship, she developed a love for improvisational movement through workshops led by artists, such as K.J. Holmes and Bebe Miller. She continues to spend her summers co-leading Day Camp at Bearnstow where she teaches art and movement classes. During the school season, Hannah teaches modern dance, ballet, and pointe at PRB and Richie School of Dance.
She also dances with Luna, a Lancaster-based contemporary dance company led by Emmanuel Williams. She performed in the premiere of his new work, La Luz, in March 2025. Additionally, Hannah completed the teacher training for Mark Morris’s Dance for PD program, which uses dance instruction to improve movement, balance and general well-being of individuals with Parkinson’s disease. Hannah’s teaching and choreographic style draws from her experiences with a variety of artistic practices. She often incorporates improvisation, visualization, sculpture-building, and collage in the classroom. She prioritizes each dancer’s mental and physical health and emphasizes dancing with a mind-body connection and playful, intrinsic creativity.
