Musical Theater, Boys, Teen, & Adult Ballet Classes

Musical Theater

Beginner/Advanced Beginner – Ages 8-13 – Mondays 6:30 – 8:00 PM
Beginner/Advanced Beginner Class – $75/month ($60/month if student is also enrolled in our Pre-Professional curriculum)
Dress Code: Leotards, jazz pants, camisole, dance shorts. Black jazz shoes and black tap shoes (oxford lace up style). Hair must be pulled off face.
Musical Theater classes are intended to prepare students for the audition to performance path they’ll need to follow in order to be successful while pursuing musical theater – whether it is a local school production, Community Theater, or beyond. They are also meant for the person who simply enjoys the ‘song and dance’ style of performing!
Students will be educated in the various styles of Broadway choreographers. The class will incorporate 45 minutes of Musical Theater jazz and 45 minutes of Tap relative to Musical Theater.

Boys Class (Boys are tuition free)

Fridays from 4-5pm
The Multi-leveled boys ballet class, for ages 7-18, will focus on Building Strength, Flexibility, and Co-ordination. This class will be included in the Summer Concert.
Dress Code: Black Jazz Pants or Black Tights, White T-shirt, Black Socks (with Jazz Pants), Black Ballet Shoes

Teen Ballet & Tap Class

Tuesdays 6:30-8pm -6:30-7:30pm ballet class ;7:30-8pm tap class
Ages 12 and up
Beginning Ballet and Tap class for teens. Class will include a ballet barre and center focusing on learning ballet technique, flexibility, and co-ordination. Tap class will include learning tap vocabulary, rhythm and musicality. Class will be included in the Summer Concert
Dress code: Girls: Pink Tights, Black Leotard, Pink Leather Ballet Shoes,Black Tap Shoes (with laces), Hair in Bun, Black Jazz Pants for Tap (optional)
Boys: Black Ballet Shoes, Black Tap Shoes, Black Socks, Black Jazz Pants, White T-shirt

Adult Ballet/Open Classes

October 6 – November 10
January 12 – February 16
March 2 – April 6
April 20 – May 25
Adult/Open Ballet is a class designed for adults with some previous ballet training. The class combines barre, center, and across the floor exercises to provide adults with a stress-free challenging ballet workout.
Four six week sessions this season (Class Time: Thursdays – 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.):
$60 for 6 class session; $50 for 6 class session for PRB parents and/or alumni. $15/class for drop ins. Minimum 4 students enrolled before the beginning of the session for the class to be held.

TUITION POLICIES (Musical Theater students)

Tuition for classes at Pennsylvania Regional Ballet is due and payable by the last day of each month (August through May). A $25.00 nonrefundable Registration Fee is due at the beginning of each year. In addition, a $75.00 Summer Concert Costume Fee is due in February. No tuition deduction or allowance will be made due to the absence, withdrawal, or dismissal of the student. Tuition is not transferable and is non-refundable unless withdrawal is due to prolonged illness or injury verified by a doctor’s note. Missed classes due to illness or holidays can be made up in a lower level class other than the student’s regular class during the same semester in which the class was missed.
