A Day in the Life of…. Reflections On A Final Year at PRB

Editor’s Note: We have asked Haley Baker & Aleah Benjelloun, our two graduating senior dancers, to give us their feelings this year as they travel their last year at PRB. Here is their first blog of the season.

It is hard to believe that this is our last year at PRB, but we are both very excited to see what this year has to offer. One thing we are both excited for is to share our knowledge and insights with the younger dancers. We hope to create a positive atmosphere for the company and make sure everyone, especially the new members, feels comfortable. We are also looking forward to topping off our technique as we begin our audition process for colleges and possibly company positions.

We have spent countless days at PRB over the years and have made countless memories. This studio has blessed with us with many close friends and has introduced us to some amazing mentors. The many classes, rehearsals, performances, and trips we have been through with PRB have prepared us for this year and for our life outside the studio, whether we choose to pursue dance or not.

As we venture into our last year at PRB, it is a bittersweet feeling. This studio has become an almost “second home” for us throughout the years and it will be hard to leave, but we are both excited to experience what lies beyond the doors of the studio.
